Mike Hooper
Mike was born and raised on Vancouver Island - he has lived in the Yellow Point Area since the early 1960’s, where he and his wife Kathy have raised three daughters, who also live in the area. Mike worked for MacMillan Bloedel and Weyerhaeuser, in operational and strategic land management for 26 years - followed by 2 years as a business consultant. He has been a member of numerous Boards and Commissions, including 1 year on the Nanaimo Airport Commission. He has an under-graduate degree from Simon Fraser University and a Masters of Business Administration from Royal Roads University in Victoria. Mike accepted the appointment of Airport President and Chief Executive Officer in May of 2006.
