Shari Barker, AScT has been working with the Nanaimo Airport for several years now handling their Environmental Data and Mapping needs .  Shari was one of the first GIS technicians to work with Arc/Info GIS on the west coast of Canada in 1986.  She has been involved with several major GIS projects that include the 1:50,000 Digital Watershed Atlas of BC for the Ministry of Environment, the Emergency Response Oil Spill Atlas for the Southern & Northern Strait of Georgia for the Land Use Coordination Office, and French Creek Watershed Assessment.  She also brings to the airport her Graphic Art background.
