Contest Rules

ELIGIBILITY

The contest is open to all residents of Canada age 18 years and older, except directors, volunteers and employees of Nanaimo Airport and any of the sponsoring companies or affiliated companies. This includes their immediate families, cohabitants, agents or contractors. The contest is void where prohibited or restricted by law. Nanaimo Airport reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. Decisions of Nanaimo Airport will be final. No purchase is necessary. Any and all disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts in the Province of British Columbia and subject to the laws of the Province. Should there be a conflict between the laws of British Columbia and any other laws, the conflict will be resolved in favor of the laws of the Province of British Columbia. The Thanks A Million contest is subject to all Federal, Provincial and Municipal laws. Winning entrants are required to answer a mathematical skill-testing question.

ENTRIES AND IDENTIFICATION

Newspaper Entries: Individuals can only be selected once to qualify for a chance to open the safe, but no limit is placed on the number of entries. Entries must be removed from the participating newspapers, filled in and deposited in a participation sponsor draw box before 5pm each Sunday. Nanaimo Airport holds the right to disqualify entries that are reproductions. Entries will not be returned.

Each qualifier will be notified of their selection. Qualifiers unable to attend the July 26th event will be able to name a designate to represent them. A designate assignment form will need to be received no later than Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 5:00pm.

Nanaimo Airport Entries: Individuals can only be selected once to qualify for a chance to open the safe, entries are limited to one per trip. One enter form will be provided to each passenger departing from the Nanaimo Airport (June 15 – July 23). The provided entry form must be filled in and deposited in the draw box in the Nanaimo Airport Passenger Departure Lounge, which is for traveling passengers only. Nanaimo Airport holds the right to disqualify entries that are reproductions. Proof of travel will be required before being named qualifier. Entries will not be returned.

Each qualifier will be notified of their selection. Qualifiers unable to attend the July 26th event will be able to name a designate to represent them. A designate assignment form will need to be received no later than Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 5:00pm.

REPRESENTATION

By entering the Contest you represent and warrant to Nanaimo Airport that: (i) you meet all eligibility requirements of the Contest; (ii) all information provided and representations made by you in entering the Contest are true and correct; and (iii) that you have and will comply in all respects with these Official Rules (including the Policies, and all statutes, orders, regulations, and other laws applicable to the Contest)

PUBLICATION

By accepting a prize, you acknowledge and agree that Nanaimo Airport may use, without additional compensation, your name, and likeness, photo, for purposes of advertising, trade, and promotion, except to the extent prohibited by law. Nanaimo Airport also reserves the right to use any and all information related to the Contest, including information submitted by you, in any manner.

All entries must be submitted to approved draw boxes by 5:00pm PST on Sundays:

Million Dollar Prize

If a participant is successful with opening the safe using their 5 digit code they will win the million dollar prize, paid out as a 20 year annuity by insurance.

RESPONSIBILITY

Nanaimo Airport, the Government of British Columbia, the Government of Canada, or Transport Canada cannot be held responsible for entries that are lost, damaged, or delayed. Nanaimo Airport, the Government of British Columbia, the Government of Canada, or Transport Canada is not responsible for any failure of the websiteduring this contest. Nor is it responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of computer online systems, servers, access providers, computer equipment, software or any email, online or internet entry lost due to technical problems or traffic congestion on the internet or at any website or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to an entrant’s or any other person’s computer or property related to or resulting from playing or downloading any material in the promotion.

CONFIRMATION OF IDENTITY

If you are a prospective winner, you will be required to confirm your identity and the other personal information you provided when you entered and to confirm your agreement to all terms and conditions of the Contest (including the Policies, and all statutes, orders, regulations, and other laws applicable to the Contest). Any requested information and confirmation must be provided within two (2) days of request. You also understand that if we contact you as a prospective winner or request further information or confirmation from you, that does not mean that you will be declared a winner or awarded a prize. If you are an actual winner or will be awarded a prize, you will be notified as such by e-mail.
